As an American, you can automatically be accepted for full membership.
If you are the daughter of an American or are married to an American you will also be considered immediately for full membership.

Full members • American citizens by virtue of birth or naturalization, former American citizens.

Associate members • Other than US citizens. To become an associate member, a person must attend 2 monthly meetings within 2 years as the guest of a member (guest fee 5 € per meeting). A letter of recommendation must be written to the Executive Board. If approved, the person may immediately become an associate member if there is no waiting list.

Membership becomes effective upon payment of dues (30€ per year).
For associate members, membership is maintained by attending at least two meetings during the club year.

All members receive the monthly newsletter, annual directory, and access to the club's many activities and interest groups.

We also hold an annual new members reception where new members, Board members, and interest group leaders can interact and get to know each other.

To join the club you can attend the general monthly meeting where you can pay the dues and get introduced to others. Or, if you have any questions about joining the club please call or contact our Membership Coordinator.

*New Supporting Member Option*

Who Qualifies?
Associate Members who have been an AWC member for 10 or more years, but wish to be excused from the attendance requirement.

Why aren't Full Members offered this status?
Full Members (US citizens and wives/daughters of) have no attendance requirement.

What are the benefits?
Normally, Associate members (non-US citizens or wives/daughters of) must maintain their good standing by attending at least two monthly club meetings per year. For supporting members, this attendance requirement is WAIVED. The member may still attend all club functions, tours, and events, and will continue to receive the newsletter. She will still be listed in the directory, which she will continue to receive annually, upon payment of the Club dues at the beginning of the year.

Are there any drawbacks?
She will not be able to vote, sponsor new members or hold office. Most ladies who take this status have a long-term involvement in one or more of the interest groups rather than the regular meetings, so they do not use these privileges regularly.

How do I sign up?
This status must be requested. You can contact our Membership Coordinator. The change will be effected immediately.

We look forward to meeting you!

Please note:
The waiting list is still open, however we continue to be short of Full Members so we will remain unable to accept any new Associate Members this month.
